The team at ReliantSouth is comprised of veteran professional contractors who represent vast expertise in various areas of the construction industry. Our success as a construction group is derived from the skills of our staff and how we work together as a team to find solutions for your project.

Richard Dodd, P.E.

President & Founder

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University, Richard’s career started in 1983 as a quality control technician for a regional construction firm.  In 1991, Richard was named president of this firm, a position he held until June 2013 when he and other co-workers bought this firm's backlog and ReliantSouth was formed.  During his career, Dodd finished his MBA from Auburn University; has achieved the status of a Florida Licensed Professional Engineer, Florida Certified Underground Contractor, as well as becoming a Certified General Contractor in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Mississippi.  With the help and support of many key people, Richard launched ReliantSouth Construction Group where he continues to live out his mission of assembling a talented, integrity filled team that provides value and solutions to clients.

 

Richard and Kim are celebrating 40 years of marriage. They have three daughters, and three grandchildren, who fondly call him “Pop”. Richard is a passionate downtown Panama City advocate, a community servant and always striving to find ways to help.  Richard hosts a Wednesday morning Men's Small Group at the office where many ReliantSouth team members as well as local businessmen gather to grow in their faith and encourage one another.

 


 

John Meyer, LEED AP

Vice President, Partner & Founder

John, a Florida Certified General Contractor, Louisiana Certified General Contractor, and LEED Accredited Professional, is a graduate of Bay High School, Gulf Coast State College and the University of Florida. While at the University of Florida, John obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a Master's Degree in Building Construction. 

 

After a stint with Centex Rooney Construction, John joined Richard’s team as a Project Engineer in 2002 on the $29.5mm design/build I-10 Rest Area project located in Okaloosa and Santa Rosa Counties.  Talented in many areas, John is a very detailed individual who strives for excellence in every facet of his life. Previously, John served on the Bay County Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors, Panama City Downtown Improvement Board's Architectural Review Committee and Bay Building Industry Association's Board of Directors.  He currently serves on the Gulf Coast State College Foundation Board of Directors.

 

Fully invested in our community, John married his high school sweetheart, Kelly and they have two daughters.  In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with family and hunting.

 


 

Dalton Parker, LEED GA

Vice President, Partner & Founder

Dalton, a Florida Certified General Contractor and LEED Green Associate, is a graduate of Mosley High School, Gulf Coast State College and the University of West Florida.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction and Engineering Technology while attending the University of West Florida.  A second-generation contractor, Dalton began his career in Construction Management in 2000 and has overseen projects ranging from $250,000 to $35,000,000.  In 2013, he helped found ReliantSouth Construction Group.  A company that strives to stay true to its core values, provide exceptional service and be a trusted solutions provider. 

 

As a past member of the Board of Directors for the Bay Education Foundation and current mentor for the Take Stock in Children program, Dalton enjoys giving back to the community.  He also enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors.  

 


 

Lynn Paulk

Accounting Manager, Contract Administrator & Founder

A Bay County native, Lynn began her accounting career and working with Richard in 1996. Lynn is very proficient with accounts receivables, payables, payroll, and other accounting responsibilities. At ReliantSouth, Lynn is responsible for contracts, subcontractors, licenses, and much more. She most recently served as Project Accountant for projects with Gulf Coast State College and Bay District Schools.

 

Lynn and Gene, high school sweethearts, have been married 27 years and have one son who is attending Gulf Coast State College.  Gene proudly serves our country in the National Guard and has recently completed two deployments; Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.  Lynn enjoys camping and four wheeling with her family.

 


 

Iris Lee

Office Manager & Founder

Having moved to Bay County as a young girl from Miami, Iris became a product of her new community and established her roots here with her family.  Iris has an impressive background in banking, sales, and accounting. She joined Richard’s team in 2010 during a very critical period working in the accounting department.  She anchors the administrative and accounting departments at ReliantSouth Construction Group. 

 

Iris and Brian have been married 36 years and have three grown daughters, one grand daughter and a grandson on the way!  Along with raising a family, she and Brian have been business partners since 1998. They love being outdoors and enjoy camping, boating, and gardening.

  

 


 

Heather Peacock

Accounting/Administrative

Heather brings professional accounting/office knowledge to the ReliantSouth team as well as a wonderful, pleasant personality!  She is a vital part of the accounting department with maintaining record control on all projects and  assisting the office manager and contract administrator with the day to day operations. 

 

Family life is a priority with Heather and she enjoys spending time with her husband, Bid, and their five children. She loves all things to do with "nature and the outdoors" - enjoying what God has created!    

 


 

Diana Crompton

Accounting/Administrative

Diana has extensive experience in many facets of professional office accounting. She is a vital part in maintaining record control with our accounts payable and insurance as well as assisting the accounting and office manager with daily operations.  Diana adds great value to the ReliantSouth Team!

 

Diana's passion is spending time with her three beautiful children - and she admits that they might be "a little bit spoiled".  Favorite activities include visiting historical places, antiquing, and trying new restaurants (always)!

 


 

Brian Baxley

Estimator/Designer

Brian serves in the Estimating and Design Department for ReliantSouth.  Prior to these roles, Brian served on the successful Rutherford High School Renovation Project Team.  Brian obtained his Associates Degree from Chipola College and subsequently his Bachelor's Degree from the University of West Florida. Brian maintains a diverse skill set and passion for the construction industry.  

 

Brian is happily married to his wife Doreen and has two (2) sons who enjoy sports and family activities. Brian is also the treasurer for the Bay High School Booster Club. Go Tornadoes! 

 


 

Charles Poffenbarger, Green Globes GGP

Project Manager & Founder

Charles joined Richard’s team in 2004 during the construction of the $29.5M design/build I-10 Rest Area project in Okaloosa and Santa Rosa Counties.  Since that time, Charles has been involved in a wide range of projects ranging from retail, financial, transportation, and government. Two of the highlights of his 20 year construction career thus far were assisting with oversight as a senior project inspector on the $192M Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport construction project and serving as a vital member on the management team that successfully completed the $35M Advanced Technology Center for Gulf Coast State College.  Charles attained his Green Globes Professional Certification (GGP) status in 2014.

 

An avid fisherman, Charles enjoys the great outdoors. Recently, Charles served as the Project Manager of the construction team for the successful $10.2M campus renovations to Rutherford High School as well as the $3.2M Cedar Grove Elementary Renovation Project.  Charles is currently serving as the Project Manager on several projects in Walton County.

 


 

Mack Lewis

Senior Project Superintendent & Founder

With more than 25 years' experience in the construction industry in the areas of plumbing, mechanical, and building construction, Mack joined Richard’s team in 2007.  Recently, Mack provided exceptional on-site management for Bay District Schools’ renovation projects at Mowat Middle School & Bay High School and is presently serving as the Superintendent on the Panama City Toyota Renovation Project.

 

Mack is happily married, loves playing golf, and was deeply saddened by the Denver Broncos loss in Super Bowl  XLVIII.  A valued member of the ReliantSouth Team, Mack takes enormous pride in taking exceptional care of our clients.

 


 

Troy Coggins

General Superintendent

Troy brings over 25 years of construction experience across the Southeast to the ReliantSouth team.  Troy has been involved in countless commercial projects including educational, medical, retail, office, financial, and aviation market sectors.  He recently served as the Superintendent on the Gulf Power Vehicle Maintenance Facility project and is currently serving as the Superintendent on the new Panama City Beach Fire Station Project.

 

RV camping with his wife along the coast of Florida and Alabama football are Troy's passions.  He is absolutely certain that Alabama will win the 2019-2020 national championship.

 


 

Michael Woods

Project Manager

Michael, a native of Bay County, brings a diverse construction skill set to the Team including extensive experience in site/civil construction and building construction. Michael obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida State University in 2010.  Additionally, he has an Alabama Utility Contractor's License,  Florida Utility Contractor's License, and Florida Certified Contractor's License.  

 

Michael's hobbies include long distance running, dirt biking, camping and family activities.

 


 

Lindsey Jones, PMP

Project Manager

Lindsey is one of our newest Project Managers and brings with her an incredible set of skills and project accomplishments! We are very excited that she has joined our team! She is a graduate of Arizona State University and Certified through the Project Management Institute. 

 

Lindsey's passions include fitness, walking and the beach.  She is also a very busy Mom to two very active young boys who enjoy keeping her hopping with their many sports activities.   

 


 

Nathan Chapman

Project Manager

ReliantSouth welcomed Nathan Chapman to the team in January 2020.  Nathan possesses over twenty-five years of construction experience with a focus in the HVAC industry.  Originally from Atlanta, GA, he relocated to the Panama City area in 2012.  In 2021, Nathan obtained his Florida Class A Certified Air Conditioning Contractor's License.  When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, 7 children, hunting and fishing.

 


 

Bobby Stormer

Project Superintendent

Bobby joined ReliantSouth in 2017 to add depth to the Team.  Presently assisting with the Captain Leonard Destin Park Project and the Lynn Haven Bayou Park, Bobby has an extensive construction background with a focus on quality control, concrete and surveying. Prior to joining the ReliantSouth Team, Bobby was solely responsible for all layout on a 40 story high rise project in Seattle, Washington.  Bobby also previously served as a lead carpenter for a crew which performed extensive concrete forming, precast installation and performed quality control.

 

Bobby and his wife are glad to have relocated to a warmer climate while enjoying time with their two year old son and other local family members.

 


 

Jeff Wandasiewicz

Project Superintendent

Jeff joined the ReliantSouth team in January 2018.  Jeff's previous experience includes serving as a Superintendent in both commercial and residential market sectors where he has acquired over twenty (20) years of experience as well as his Florida Building Contractor's License.  ReliantSouth looks forward to growing with Jeff in the coming years.

 


 

Lee Brinegar

Project Superintendent

Lee joined the ReliantSouth team in January 2018.  Lee has acquired decades of construction experience while working on projects throughout the Southeast.  Lee previously served in Estimating, Project Management and Superintendent roles which makes him a tremendous asset to ReliantSouth due to his well-rounded skill set.  ReliantSouth is honored to have Lee aboard.  Lee recently completed both our Sonny's BBQ & IHOP projects in Pace, Florida and will be commencing on another Sonny's BBQ project this year.

 


 

Brian Guthrie

Assistant Project Manager

Brian has over 17 years experience in the construction industry as a second generation builder.  He's held several positions with the local Home Builders Association, including President. His years of field experience in the construction industry with a reputation for excellent quality, finishing projects on time and within budget bring much to the ReliantSouth team. 

 

Brian and his wife, Jackie, celebrated 26 years of marriage in September 2019. They have a son, daughter and a granddaughter that has stolen his heart.  When relaxing, Brian enjoys spending time with family, hunting, watching baseball (Red Sox) and football (Cowboys & FSU). As a baseball player throughout his college career, Brian has enjoyed coaching baseball teams locally as his son grew up.

 


 

Randy Broadway

Project Superintendent

ReliantSouth was proud to welcome Randy Broadway to the team in August 2019.  Randy has over thirty (30) years of construction experience with a focus on government and marine projects.  He will be serving as the Superintendent on the upcoming Perry, GA Sonny's BBQ remodel project.  Randy is a Louisiana native and die-hard LSU fan.  Geaux Tigers! 

 


 

Antonio Reeves

Assistant Project Manager

Antonio joined the ReliantSouth Team in October 2017 as an Assistant Superintendent.  Antonio recently obtained his Associates Degree in Construction from Gulf Coast State College.  Special skills include but not limited to: AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit and 2020 Design.

 

Antonio and his wife are very active in their church and raising their sweet baby boy!

 


 

Brian Poole

Project Superintendent

One of our newest Project Superintendents, Brian joined our community a couple years ago and now calls Bay County his home. He has an extensive background in commercial building spanning North/South Carolina and Ohio. Brian has also served our country in the United States Air Force. 

 

He confesses that he can be a bit of a "workaholic".  But, does enjoy all things outdoors and especially camping and motorcycles.  His football alma mater is the University of Michigan - Go Wolverines!  

 


 

Brian Lee

Assistant Project Superintendent

With over 35 years of construction industry experience in both residential and commercial building, Brian brings a diverse set of skills to the ReliantSouth Team. He is an accomplished state certified  residential building contractor with extensive, progressive experience in multiple areas of the building industry. He admits that he is a "hands on" guy and just loves all things construction! 

 

When "not" building things, Brian enjoys the great outdoors and everything family. Sports activities/events also get slid in there with lots of football and golf and an occasional motorcycle ride! Brian also proudly served his country in the United States Navy! 

 


 

Steve Churchwell

Assistant Project Superintendent

Steve has worked for over 20 years with the professionals who are now ReliantSouth Construction Group.  Steve is a multi-talented individual who has many strengths, chief of which is insuring compliance with applicable standards and specifications.

 


 

Joe Dodd

Honorary .... Safety Director/Environmental

With more than 40 years' experience designing and building chemical plants around the world, Joe came out of retirement to join his son Richard’s firm in 1998, working to refine the company’s safety and environmental programs.  Joe will continue work at ReliantSouth as the safety director and environmental and insurance coordinator. After serving in the U.S. Army, Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. 

 

Joe is a modern-day St. Francis, enjoying the antics of all of the squirrels and birds he feeds in his backyard.  

 


 

Will Pelton

Planet Fitness Division Manager

Will joined the ReliantSouth team to further its growing relationship with Planet Fitness.  Will possesses over thirty (30) years of commercial construction experience with a focus on building Planet Fitness facilities throughout the U.S.  Will also has an extensive Department of Defense and military construction background.  Will is a consummate construction professional who maintains both project management and field supervision skills.  ReliantSouth looks forward to growing this emerging market with Will’s leadership.
